Bay Trail Middle School
Bay Trail Middle School, located in Penfield, a suburb of Rochester, NY, offers a unique learning experience for students in grades 6-8. With an enrollment of over 1,100 students, Bay Trail is a large school, however, students benefit from a House system within the school which allows for a smaller, more family-oriented environment. Students remain in the same House throughout their middle school years, allowing teachers to get to know them well as they meet weekly to discuss each student's progress. Students also benefit from the school's learner-centered focus which seeks to help all students reach their academic potential through differentiated instruction. In addition to a wide variety of academic programs, Bay Trail offers students numerous opportunities in the arts, athletics and extracurricular activities.

 Congratulations Varsity Wrestlers! The Varsity Wrestling Team captured the Section V AA Championship Title on Saturday, Feb. 6th. Leading the way in their respective weight classes were B. Ling, J. Montante, B. Contreras and J. Barnhart. Congratulations to the entire team and coach John Leone. Congratulations Bay Trail MathCounts Team! The Bay Trail MathCounts Team captured first place in the regional competition, beating teams from 16 other area schools. The team will continue on to the state competition on March 13th. Indian Landing Roof Vote, Tuesday, Feb. 23 The public vote on the Indian Landing roof project is being held from 6 am to 9 pm Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 in the PHS Gym Hallway. Residents are being asked to consider a proposition to replace a portion of the roof at Indian Landing Elementary School at a cost not to exceed $1,060,000. This project will be funded through $290,00...
