Scribner Students Honored by Town Supervisor

Congratulations to the students in the Scribner Road Environmental Club who were honored this week for completing the last two steps in creating a Penfield Pollinator Pathway garden. They added a water feature and a nesting box to provide a safe habitat for pollinators over the winter. Penfield Town Supervisor, Jeff Leenhouts, presented each student with a certificate and an official Penfield Pollinator Pathway sign for the garden. The Penfield Pollinator Pathway is a program that the town just launched this month! The goal is to provide food and a habitat for pollinators, which in turn feed baby birds. Students planted a variety of native trees/shrubs/flowers that bloom from early spring through late fall and the club is planning to plant another pollinator garden on school grounds in the spring!
