Student Registration

The Registrar's Office is responsible for registering all students in the Penfield School District. For more information, or to schedule a registration appointment, contact Kelley Darling at 249-5729 or kdarling@penfield.edu.

  • Student Registration
    If you are new to Penfield CSD, looking to register your child for the first time, or have a former student returning to us, you've come to the right place! We invite you to register using our online process linked below. If you do not have access to a computer or need support with the registration process, please contact our District Registrar, Kelley Darling, at (585)249-5729 or kdarling@penfield.edu to schedule an appointment.
     

    Enrollment
    All students must be enrolled by the Registrar's Office prior to attending school in the District. For Kindergarten enrollment, students must turn 5 on or before Dec. 1st to be eligible to enroll in school for September.
     

    Required Documents
    The following documents are required for registration:

    • Parent/Guardian Proof of Residency

    • Parent/Guardian Photo ID

    • Student Birth Certificate or Passport

    • Current Physical and Immunization Records

    Additionally, there are internal forms that must be completed as a part of the registration process, which you will receive access to once you begin the registration application.

    Complaints
    School districts may not request information that could chill or discourage students from enrolling in the district based on their own or their parents' immigration status. If you believe the District has made such inquiries during the enrollment process, or to file a civil rights complaint concerning a potentially discriminating enrollment policy or practice, you may contact the:

  • Penfield CSD is responsible for some costs associated with students who live in the school district but attend a private, parochial, or charter school. Therefore, a brief registration and proof of residency are required. This paperwork is necessary with or without a request for transportation.

    • Parent/Guardian Photo ID

    • Student Birth Certificate or Passport

  • Penfield CSD is committed to working with Monroe One BOCES as our liaison for homeschool families within the district. Each school year, parents/caregivers must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to homeschool to the District Registrar, Kelley Darling, at kdarling@penfield.edu; this will then be shared with Monroe One BOCES by the district.

    The following three items are then to be submitted annually to Homeschool_Monitoring@boces.monroe.edu:

    • Individual Home Instruction Plan (IHIP)

    • Quarterly Reports (4 total)

    • Annual assessment
