Lace Up Your Sneakers for PEF 5K Race
Registration is now open for the Penfield Education Foundation’s 7th Annual 5K Race/Walk. The community event will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, at the Penfield High School Track (25 High School Drive). The primary fundraiser for the foundation, the event aims to raise money for student scholarships and teacher grants while providing an opportunity to engage in healthy exercise.
Registration is $27.50 for adults and $22.20 for children ages 18 and under. Register by Saturday, April 4, to receive a free short-sleeved T-shirt.
The 5K course starts and ends at Penfield High School track, winding through scenic routes in the community. Children 12 and under are welcome to participate in a fun 5-minute lap after the 5K. Following the run/walk, participants can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages and family-friendly activities. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in various age groups.
