Penfield UPK Enrollment Now Open
Penfield Central School District is excited to continue its Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK) for fall 2026! Open enrollment will run through 8 a.m. Monday, April 20 through 4 p.m. Friday, May 1.
This NYS grant funded program will operate within three PCSD school buildings as well as four local Community Based Organizations (CBOs), all of which are existing childcare and preschool centers.
The program will be full day (5 ½ hours) and will offer a social emotional and play-based curriculum that is aligned with the NYS Pre-Kindergarten Learning Standards. Free breakfast and lunch will also be provided.
Students will be selected to participate in the UPK program through a lottery system. Penfield has 123 UPK spots available. Students who apply to our UPK program will be chosen based on an equitable lottery system in early May. To be included in the District’s lottery system, and complete the 2026-27 UPK Application.
