Penfield Residents Approve District’s 2026-2027 Budget

On Tuesday, May 19, voters approved Penfield Central School District’s proposed 2026-2027 budget, with 2,466 votes in favor and 1,222 votes opposed. Voters also approved the purchase of 14 buses from the 2024 capital reserve.
Stacy Lonardo and Susan Kavanagh were elected to serve as members of the District’s Board of Education. Each will serve a three-year term.

The passage of this budget ensures that we can maintain our high-quality academic programming and innovative student opportunities,” said Dr. Tasha Potter, Superintendent. “This vote is a clear reflection of our collective dedication to lighting the path for every student, and we remain deeply committed to utilizing these resources responsibly to prepare our students for a meaningful future. We are excited to approach the next school year boldly.”
