Penfield Central School District Board of Education members Krista Khan and Susan Gilbert-Collins recently earned recognition from the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA).

Khan and Gilbert-Collins were honored for continually expanding their governance knowledge and skills. Khan earned a Level 2 Board Excellence Certificate of Recognition and Gilbert-Collins earned a Level 1 Board Achievement Certificate of Recognition.

Both members have engaged in NYSSBA training, workshops, events, and activities that build expertise and knowledge in governance and leadership, fiscal responsibility, advocacy, student achievement, and district operations.

Khan and Gilbert-Collins were formally honored during Penfield’s Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, May 26.
